Explore each chapter to understand the effort, benefits and context.

Read the chapter introduction

These measures are not converted into one another. Chapter 3 covers initial steps for low mood; this chapter adds specific methods. Legal rules and service numbers in the venue entries apply in China.

Drugs can resemble ordinary products. Synthetic-cannabinoid vape liquids can look like normal e-cigarettes and are promoted in bars, karaoke venues and hotels. Chinese law penalizes inducing or deceiving others into use and separately penalizes unlawful use. Do not assume an unfamiliar product is safe from its appearance; liability after deception depends on the actual circumstances, not merely the general penalty list.

Walking or running can help depression; choose activity you can sustain and appropriate intensity

Walking/jogging had the largest effect among the listed exercise types, followed by yoga, strength training and tai chi/qigong, with broadly similar benefits. Higher prescribed intensity was associated with larger effects, while strength training and yoga were most acceptable. Evidence certainty was low, so choose a sustainable activity rather than treating rankings as precise.
